Research Interests
My research focuses on the built environment, landscape, and material culture of the colonial northeast. I am particularly interested in the ways that colonists shaped landscape to their own ends through the imposition of European architecture, measurement, and mapping techniques. Additionally, I use forensic techniques alongside documentary sources to investigate the the specific histories of structures.
