Saturday Symposium: Suffragist SaturdaySaturday Symposium: Suffragist SaturdayLive via Zoom<p>Celebrate 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote with the College of Arts and Sciences</p><p>Free and open to the public. For more information about the speakers and their topics and to register for the Zoom event, please visit <a href="http://www.udel.edu/007861">http://www.udel.edu/007861</a>.</p><p>The day’s events include:</p><p>• Anne Boylan, University of Delaware professor emerita of history, speaking on the suffrage movement in Delaware</p><p>• Margaret Stetz, University of Delaware, Mae and Robert Carter Professor of Women’s Studies, discussing theatre and spectacle in the suffrage campaign</p><p>• Carol Scott, UD Africana Studies and Spanish student, sharing her research into suffragist Blanche Williams Stubbs and African American women’s suffrage</p><p>• An introduction to “Votes for Delaware Women: A Centennial Exhibit,” a virtual exhibit of the Special Collections Gallery of Morris Library</p><p>​Celebrate 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote with the College of Arts and Sciences</p><p>Free and open to the public. Speakers will explore the suffrage movement in Delaware and beyond, African American women and the vote, and the culture that surrounded the crusade.
