Research Interests
​Interests include musician, scholar and curator with a background in public musicology and museum work. Her research interests center on music's material culture and twentieth-century Black music. In particular, she is currently examining women of color working in jazz and their papers, costumes and ephemera preserved in museums and archives. Before arriving at the University of Delaware, Grantham documented, preserved and interpreted African American musical history at organizations through curatorial positions at Motown Museum and the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of African American History and Culture. Outside of her professional activities, Grantham enjoys doing yoga and practicing aerial arts.
