Biography
​I am a US socio-cultural historian and material culture specialist. I utilize interdisciplinary methodologies and object-based research to create public-facing scholarship on contemporary social issues related to medical practice, the body, and human remains. I have conducted extensive research on modern American deathways, mortuary policy, and Civil War medicine. As a Unidel Distinguished Graduate Scholar, I look forward to developing my research and continuing my work in the museum sector to advance the common good.
